HBO - MTV is not what it used to be... ever watch VH1? thats a great station too!

MTV encompasses all that is wrong in America. I can't believe what a utter waste of time that piece of crap channel is. I grew up with MTV in the mid 80's when they actually showed videos. I remember the first real world when it actually dealt with issues concerning young people. Now it's all glam and what to wear and how to fit in. I'm young and I am embarrassed by how much control it has over our youth. It's creating a whole generation of followers who think all you need is the right tattoo or belly button ring is the path to acceptance. What ever happened to the individual? Oh yea MTV happened. I like HBO though. Have a good day.

I will pick HBO because MTV sucks anymore. MTV nevers shows music and when they do the cut the music. MTV needs to be taking off the air. MTV 2 is better the MTV.

I'm generally fine with HBO as it tends to play decent movies. I am not a fan of MTV however, because it is no longer music television. When it does play videos it's either really late or early depending on you're view point and MTV mainly made up of reality shows and crap like that.

MTV don't have HBO. If I want to see a movie I rent it. Pay channels aren't worth the money I cancelled all of mine when they were still showing a movie Gregorys Girl which they were showing the first time I got HBO in 1982. I want selection so I go to the Video Store.

I don't watch TV much these days.
That's why I appreciate much when I have the time.
Both is great. MTV: I like to see new clips, sometimes u might see very beautifull women, sometimes u see really cool music clips, sometime u hear song make u remember someting, sometime u hear new song that make u feel great..
HBO: I like seeing movies!
I prefer HBO though

MTV sucks, man! Im sooo tired of looking at other chicks asses and cleavage. Why do i want to see chicks all the time. HBO is ok. More men i guess.

MTV sucks beyond belief. They should change it to LTV (Lame TV) since it now has NOTHING to do with music!
HBO has some great shows like "Curb Your Enthusiasm" and "Deadwood."

Both, But i would say HBO. it has much better programing... i mean... Jackass could never compete against The Sopranos
