Use a iron and a lot of newspaper / paperbags. The iron will heat the wax onto the paperbags and soak it up. Be careful not to burn your sofa.

Take a bath towel and put it over the wax. Then take a hot iron and put it on the towel. The towel will suck up the wax. You can also use paper towels. I work at a Catholic Church and this how we get the wax out of the carpets.

Get your blow dryer and turn it on high. blow it on the wax until it goes to liquid. This doesn't take long, and then wipe off.
