how do i clean my physical memory?

whats going on is when i play music, it keeps on skipping but it will keep on playing im thinking that is the reason why? if not could anyone help with what i could do??

There could be another application running in the background that is using up your memory resources.

(if you're on a PC) Try this: when you're playing music, hit Ctrl-Alt-Del and click on the Processes Tab. Notice which other program is using up CPU and Mem Usage. Only if you recognize another program and it's usage is high (or doesn't need to be running), end that process. That may solve the problem.

If it does, you may want to disable that other program from the startup by going to Start->Run->msconfig. Then uncheck it under the startup tab.
