My state requires one year separation before a divorce will be granted. Neither one of us can afford to live here alone. Can't afford to rent an apt. AND pay mortgage. I have no family here. What to do?

It can work if you both behave as mature individuals. I would set rules, tho, such as no bringing dates home, etc. Also decide ahead of time how the bills will be paid and who pays for food, etc. If you treat each other as friends, you should be able to do it.

I must wonder, though, if this is a possibility since the two of you are separating. I hope you sell your home very quickly :) Try and stay away from your home as much as possible, this will at least keep you two from having to spend time together and fussing. OR, if you are having second thoughts about the split, spend more time together and try to work it out.

yes, I know some. They are very civil and caring. It really depends on the relation of both parties.
