The Cascade Range is a mountainous region famous for its chain of tall volcanoes called the High Cascades that run north-south along the west coast of North America from British Columbia through Washington and Oregon to the Shasta Cascade area of northern California.

I was under the impression that the cascade mountains were the large mountain range that runs from washington and into Oregon and parts of the california. You might want to find out what part of the country you're studying because it sounds like from the answers being posted that there is more than one mountain range named "the cascades"

the cascade range is in the pacific northwest. a map of oregon, and washington states will show them don't use a roadmap as it doesn't show mountain rangeds but a world atlas will..
