I don't usually read "gay" literature. I have enjoyed all three of Christopher Rice's novels, although I wouldn't say the first two were particularly "gay." The most recent one is very good. "Light Before Day" is the title.

Christopher Rice is the son of Anne Rice, who's books are also very "gay" friendly, but not necessarily "gay." I like Christopher's portrayal of the underside of the homosexual community. I was particularly engaged by the way he wrote about the difference between gay people and pedophiles. He presented the difference by writing "real" and believable characters and then allowed them to show the difference. Great story.

i think of my regularly occurring gay e book could might desire to be Giovanni's Room. My English instructor lent it to me whilst i became approximately 17, and that i for my section discovered it pleasing. Annoyingly, I lent my reproduction to somebody a on a similar time as in the past and have not considered it through fact (additionally won't be able to remember who it became I lent it to). it is likewise an excellent e book for the time it became written. I additionally like On Queer highway, it is an exceptionally pleasing history of homosexuality in Britain from the time of the Oscar Wilde Trial to the top of the 20 th century. As for movies: I watched pleasing element whilst i became rather youthful (in keeping with risk 15 or sixteen) and it got here on television. It had an effect on me, as I knew i became bisexual, yet did not have any touch with different queer human beings. I even have it on DVD now, and it nonetheless brings back fond thoughts. I additionally strongly recommend My pleasing Laundrette, which amazes me as a action picture written and directed with the help of quickly adult males! i think of the terrific element approximately it fairly is the stunning understated way that the main considerable characters' sexuality is gifted. ultimately, and because I probably have a splash of a chip on my shoulder approximately gay human beings having so plenty extra exposure than bisexual human beings, i for my section like Chasing Amy!

"Boys Don't Cry". Its extremely well made, but very sad. Its about a girl that tries to pass herself off as a boy, and has tragic consequences as a result. It is based on a true story.
