I'm from the UK and I'm against the war - as you said, it's an illegal war and we all know Iraq wasn't a hotbed of terrorism before we invaded. It is now though, oh, the irony.

Stump and others: The war on Iraq is illegal because it wasn't sanctioned by the UN under international law. This isn't an opinion, it's a fact.

The war in Afghanistan is a justifiable war against "terrorists", but the war in Iraq is a big scam by the hawkish warlords who need this war for their own selfish reasons. If they would really be fighting terrorism, they would have gone in war with other countries like Syria and Pakistan or other countries that harbor and support terrorists for real. There has never been any proof of any of the reasons the US invaded Iraq for (no links between Saddam and "terrorists" and no WMD), and there most probably never will be because they made up their reasons and forced their "allies" into their make believe with the famous words: "You're either with or against us". Now they don't have many real friends anymore, just a lot of business partners. The only reason for the Iraq invasion that they still try to hold up is "democracy". But this is just a bunch of BS, because than the US military would have been prepared for bringing democracy in the first place. In the second place, the US has supported numerous dictatorial regimes all over the world in the past, as long as it is in their own benefit, and except for the made up reasons they used, there was no public reason to invade Iraq. The real reasons are obvious though. Saddam was very likely to give the US a hard time over the Iraqi oil. US don't like that. Another reason is the strategic position of Iraq in the Middle East. It's better to have a "friend" and military bases close to Iran and Syria and the rest of the Axis of Evil. The US just don't know who their friends are. They thought the Iraqi people would be much more friendly to them, and they'd be able to use this alleged friendship as a base for quick democracy to accomplish the rest of their goals in the Middle East. They were soo very wrong.

From Canada, and was so proud when Jean Chretien, our prime minister then did not join US in this illegal war which had nothing to do with terrorism, and in fact created the TERROR that is going on in Iraq daily? How can anyone supporting the Bush agenda be considered a human being, never mind Christian?!

I'm from Canada and feeling proud that our government didn't buy into Bush's antics against the other type of terrorism. I do pray that the US population will come to its senses in the next November election so as to bring Bush's madness to a stop. The US doesn't deserve such bad name.

My friends and I in Berlin are mostly from all countries of the world and any have the same view as I do. My school is american though so you may no regard my opinion. Das ist mir egal.

I'm from Saudi Arabia, and find it illegal as you said. I don't like Saddam myself and would hate to have him as a president if I were Iraqi. I also don't like Bush and would hate to have him as a president if I were American, does it justify staging a coup and change Bush for Americans? I'm not Iraqi to vote against Saddam or stage a coup and change him. This is Iraqi business and should only be attempted by Iraqis.

A war by outsiders is INVASION regardless of how invaders name it.

from long ago US was after Iran. that's why they attacked Afghanistan (east of Iran) , have army bases in Pakistan (east of Iran) have army bases in turkey (west of Iran), Russia is not as much of treat it was before (north of Iran) warships in Persian golf (south of Iran).
the only place it was left to complete the circle around iran was Iraq. thats why they attack Iraq. NOW there are talks about attacking Iran.

I am from England, but I live in the US. I think the illegal war is disgusting and merely a money spinner for the massive defense corporations in America. What we have done could hurt America for many years to come.

Canada.I do not believe it was illegal. You guys should have gone in with a million troops.Do you think the bombing of The Serbs by Bill Clinton was illegal,it was not sanctioned by the UN,or was that OK in your book because it was done in defense of a moslem population facing genocide by a Christian one..Do you believe the the UN has the sole right to grant legality. If you do,then what do you think about their failures in Yugoslavia, Rwanda, etc.etc and now in the Sudan.
