It is possible to unionize the students of a high school? Has it been done? How would one go about it? Is it legal? Any comments?

Test scores and money, instead of labor, could be leverage.

It doesn't make any sense. High school students have no choice but to attend school. It's mandatory. If they fail their classes or tests, they are the ones who will suffer - not the school.

There are already laws that protect students from any kind of abuse or poor working conditions. Students are being paid for their work; they receive a full eduction. There is no higher pay nor better conditions to be bargained for.

In short, students are not employees. Therefore they can't have a union.

You could organize the students as a group to represent the student body. But the rules and regulations are set by the state and the local school board.

You are a student and are supposed to do what you are told until you become an adult. Try to organize and see how long it takes for you to get detention.

Since they don't need your labor to get paid, your union will fail

EDIT:

Test scores and money? LOL.
