Some guys are afraid of intimacy. The decent ones won't behave like that, though. Sometimes they also don't like girls being clingy, or they just realise that the girl isn't the right one for them.

Some guys just need some space to think it through. If you want them to love you, you have give them some space to think their next move. It's like they have to adapt. Some may ask themselves:"Is this my true love? Is this the woman with which I want to spend the rest of my life?". And some just have to ask themselves if they should get emotionally involved and risk getting hurt in the end.

Coming from a guy... girls are the same way. Love is like a piece of string; it usually cannot be pushed into the direction you want it to, it must be lead. Therefore, learn the secrets to leading it, and it will follow.
