In American society, old can waffle back and fourth faster than a cup on a table in a ship being pitched by a storm. When I go to the doctors or the supermarket, I am often refereed to as "young man". When I was taking a college course a few years back. I was considered "the old guy". If I were plating in the NFL, NBA, I would be old. About normal if in politics. And young if speaking of collage professors. To some, 35 is old. Some do not think that until 45 maybe 50. And since the median age or life span is said to have increased. Some people still believe them selves to be young at 55. But in general I believe mature people who has put in at least 3 decades of work around here on this planet, have more life wisdom. Like anything, once you have encountered it several times you gain valuable experience you can not get from a book.

I think that the elderly are the backbone of our society and the givers of wisdom. Some may be mean and cranky. But I think that comes from living and growing weary of the young and ignorant. We should be more patient with the elderly. Face it. If it weren't for them there would be no us. They fought to make this world what it is. And they give the best advice and teach the best lessons because they have been there and done that.

I don't see them as old people, I seem them as Wise Souls, Or old souls. Don't ever forget that behind every wrinkle and laughline there are thousands of stories to be told that completes who a person is,

I like old people for the most part. You run across a few that are always grumpy, but a lot of them are funny.

ELDERLY PEOPLE HAVE SO MANY LIFES EXPERIENCES, AND SO MUCH TO TEACH US , IF WE ARE JUST OPEN AND WILLING TO LEARN.

WE SHOULD HONOR AND RESPECT THE ELDERLY, WITHOUT THEM, WE WOULD NOT BE HERE.

HOW SAD THE WAY SOME ARE TOSSED ASIDE.
EACH DAY I MAKE A POINT AT SAYING HELLO AND SMILING TO AN ELDERLY PERSON, JUST THAT SMILE MIGHT MAKE THEIR DAY.
