FOOD STARTS INCREASING SUGAR IN THE BLOOD IMMEDIATELY AFTER EATING IT. SO IT IS ADVISABLE TO YOU TAKE INSULIN 20 MINUTES BEFORE EATING IN THE MORNING AND NEXT AS ADVISED BY THE DOCTOR. QUANTITY OF THE INSULIN IS ALSO SET BY YOUR DOCTOR. PLEASE ALSO WRITE ME THAT HOW MUCH INSULIN YOU ARE TAKING IN THE MORNING AND AT NIGHT. ALSO GIVE THE READING OF YOUR SUGAR IN THE MORNING, AFTER NOON AND NIGHT. SO I COULD ADVISE YOU THE QUANTITY OF THE INSULIN. BUT I ADVISE YOU TO GO FOR EXERCISE IN THE MORNING AND EVENING REGULARLY. GOD HELP YOU TO KEEP IN CONTROL, . my e'mail is kumar.2007@yahoo.co.in

Probably no longer than it does anywhere else in the world. It depends on the food you eat and how wellyour pancreas handles the food.
