Take the Palm Spring Tram up to Mt. San Jacinto and there is a whole wilderness up there to explore and hike through. Definitely worth it especially during the summer when it is so hot down in Palm Springs. Its about 30 degrees cooler up on the mountain.

I really enjoyed the Living Desert. They include botanical gardens, a zoo, and hiking trails. Beautiful country...have a great time!
