It depends on the state, the felony and how long ago. Then the DA and the judge and your lawyer can take care of it.

In most states, felonies are never expunged from your record, especially if it was a sex crime, drugs, or a violent crime. You would do well to contact a local attorney to find out your options but those that want to know what your criminal background looks like, will definitely find out. A felony never goes away. Best of luck to you.

1. It depends on the laws of your state.
2. Generally only arrest records are expunged for people who are not convicted (eg. acquitted or adjudication withheld).
3. Generally to get an arrest record expunged after conviction, the conviction must either be overturned on appeal, or the defendant must be pardoned. You don't say what felony is involved, but for most felonies, pardons are exceedingly difficult to obtain.
4. If it is a simple matter of expungment (aka expunction) any criminal defense attorney can do it. Pardons, are a different matter. There are some attorneys who regularly handle pardon applications. For the $$ its going to cost, you'd be well advised to retain one of them to maximize your chances.

Expungement of criminal records are usually done when there is a miscarriage of justice. Like when a person is arrested and jailed on circumatancial evidence, and later found to be completely innocent. If you really did the crime, your chances of having your criminal record wiped cleaned by the system is about as good as winning the multi-million dollar lotto 5 times in a row.

It depends on the state. In my state, it costs about $500 in lawyer fees. It does depend on the offense though. Minor drug charges, assault, etc. usually aren't a problem. You usually do have to be off paper for 5 years before you can apply though. Your best bet is to meet with your lawyer and get his advice, that will cost about $60. Good luck with it.

Turn 18 and it's gone.

Otherwise, you're screwed and no one will want to hire you for the rest of your life. Should have thought about it a little before committing a felony, crime boy.
