A-Rod is the highest paid baseball player. However, he is a has been, a complete washout and a disgrace to the sport of baseball. He is playing like a sub-par minor leaguer. He can't perform in clutch situations. How does it feel to have inherited such a useless ball player?

Not happy with him..He has way too much talent to be performing (or not) the way he has been. It seems like he can't handle the pressure of a large market team such as NY (he would've been worse in Boston as the media is harder there) It started last year in the post season. Earlier on last season,Torre had to drop him from batting cleanup to the #2 hole, so the signs were there. No one doubts his ability, just his psyche. He's not clutch. He's been hitting real well lately but that seems to be his m.o. He gets hits in blow out games and now that the Yankees have a good lead in the east,I guess he feels more relaxed. It was just painful to watch. He really needed to step up with all the injuries earlier in the season. Now that the team has worked out all the bugs...he comes through after the fact. Derek Jeter said it simply (about the fans booing a-rod).."They're waiting to cheer for you"

A-Rod just doesn't have the make-up to play on a winning team.

D'Brickashaw is a complete moron. The only reason you guys don't boo your players is because you guys suck asss. Last time I checked, you were what 8 games out of 1st to a team that has missed 2 of their best hitters the ENTIRE season!!!! And Ortiz will not win the MVP, who the hell gives a sh1t if hee hit 6 walk-offs, he hasn't done anything else. And injuries happen, if Pujols wasn't injured and missed 3 weeks, he would easily have at least 55 homers by now. You suck, as well as all the players on the Red Sux.

now, to the question:

You are extremely right, except now, he has turned it on, 2 homer games in 2 straight nights and no more errors. It is a love-hate relationship with ******, mostly hate. Until he wins a World Series with us, he will never be a true Yankee. If he screws up this year in the playoffs, like he did in 04, he better be traded because there are better 3B out there.

Yankees are the best.

I am an avid Red Sox fan and even I feel bad for GayRod (excuse me, Arod). So what, the guy isnt in the top 5 in HR, RBI, and AVG. He is still having a decent year. Last time I checked the guy was hitting .280 with 30 HR and 100 RBI!!! Those are still very good stats. If Ortiz was putting up those stats, would Red Sox fan go crazr?? NO, because Red Sox fans respect the game and the players and they know better than to constantly boo a great baseball player.

If Yankee fans didnt get on his case so much this year, then maybe he would be doing a little better. What they are forgetting is that he won the MVP last year, and next year is a new year and he should be back in the top 5 in the league in the major offensive catagories, and his defense should improve. But being a Red Sox fan i still think he is biggest whimp the MLB has seen in years.

p.s. Ortiz will win the MVP. He has 6 walkoff hits this year, the most ever since 1965!! And ohh yeah, if he didnt get injured, he was on pace for 56 HR and 155 RBI!!! Those nmbers are ridiculous. The only reason he may not get it is because the Red Sox choked so bad this year.

Yeah, I talked to some people who live in the Bronx, and are big Yankees fans and they say that nobody likes A-Rod down there. I think he's awesome and is just in a slump. He just hit 4 HR in 2 games, pretty good for a sub par minor leaguer.

I dont think many minor leaguers would be hitting 29 home runs and have 99 rbi do you? He only looks like a minor leaguer when he plays defense. They guy has the most talent of any baseball player and all he needs to do is relax so you can use it to his full potential.

People are just jealous that AROD makes that much damn money..well guess what..all ball players make more than you do at McDonalds..so you can be equally mad at them too..his stats are fine..they aren't what AROD usually puts up..which is why he gets paid that much to begin with..yes i see a lot of sub-par minor leaguers winning AL MVPs..another thing..he plays the game right..even though Big Mac..im sure you can relate cause you work at McDonalds..has done steriods..he still is more beloved than AROD..100 RBIs..i don't really call that useless..you are just a dumb jerk that follows the trend..the trend now is too boo AROD

You must be a Red sock fan to be complaining so much about Arod.
Dont you wish you had a guy that " Sucked" on your team and still drove in 99 rbi's and 29 hr's,and the season aint even over yet. Well not for the Yankees anyway.

Come on, He is as good as it gets. The Yankee fans are to spoiled. He is way better that any one on your team on any given day (excluding Jetter). He was the MVP last year, What else they want? If they stop the Booing he will play without pressure and perform much better. Go Mets!!!!!

Sure he is getting the Money but the Yankees knew that when they signed him.
But I think they are putting to Much pressure on him..Short Stop was his Position Not 3rd base, they could of kicked Jeter over to 3rd and kept A-Rod at SS..Cuz Jeter makes a error or strikes out it is no big deal,A-Rod Stikes out or makes a error He is Booed...and A-rod aint the one setting the Standards it is Jeter who is the captian so i think Jeter should be Booed.
