About 1 month to fully heal. See link below for more details. I'm thinking of getting a tattoo myself, and found the info on this website helpful.

I got one last summer and it took about two weeks to heal. I used an ointment called AD medicated oinment. You can find in the baby section of the drug store.
You should be careful while in the shower, don't use soap on it for the first two weeks (you have to wash around it) and don't get in a pool because the chlorine will cause it to fade.
Go to a reputable tattoo artist and pick out one that is tasteful. You don't want something that is silly or crazy tatted on you. You are getting older not younger, so keep that in mind. :)
Please, don't get your neck tatted, that is the worst!!!

I got one on August 19 and it is just healed fully as of today.

its just a scratch. my wife got one last week and half is healed. I'd say 10 days.

Your antibiotic resistent staph infection will probably take much longer to cure.
Why people do such trashy things to their bodies is beyond my understanding.
And obese folks, it doesn't make you look any prettier.
