OK...first you have to in the recesses of your mind accept the fact that for the most part, life sucks. That is not being a pessimist, but an optimist with experience.

Second...the basic guiding principle and answer to all life's woes is "Ignore Reality". Yes, this is the most basic of defense mechanisms that can get one through the roughest of times.

Third...do something totally wacked. When I hit my breaking point I do something like cartwheels in a crowded parking lot. Chillin out alone can also do wonders for the soul. Crank up the music and just dance. Go rollerskating anything to just feel and think about something different. Diversions, Diversions, Diversions....they REALLY do work!

I don't think it's the events of life that make a person negative - although that can Definitely help. I think it's your attitude, and that can always change. I think the key is to be thankful. Thank God for everything that's good - or if you don't like the idea of that - just be thankful - as in, "I'm so glad for that friend over there," "I'm so happy that I have my health" or whatever else you have. Also, try and see the funny side in things. I think that the negative-thing can easily spiral downwards, because as you soon as you start to feel grumpy about a few things, then you find more and more things to be annoyed about - I know, I've been there. But if you start off being positive, then your mood improves as you look for the good things, and because your mood is better, people around you perk up and like being around you...and everything gets better.:)

It is highly unlikely that answers you receive on this particular site will help you. There are some VERY strange, rude, crude, uncaring people who frequent this Yahoo site.
Have you been for a check up ,lately? Often times, our health dictates our moods. After that, I suggest you sit down and try to figure out just what is causing you to be depressed. Maybe talking with a trusted, caring and intelligent friend, will help. Make sure this is a POSITIVE type of friend. Make a list of the things that you enjoy doing. Why haven't you been doing them? Do NOT let this go on. It is very unhealthy. I wish you the best of good health and happiness.

it rather is tough. you've gotten a severe communicate along with her or write her a letter or e mail so she wont freak out once you're speaking. tell her each and every thing. you're so sick of negativity and your performed with it. She is a great chum and you like her yet you pass over her being satisfied each and all of the time and not complaining and being impolite. you could tell her if she does not end bringing you down you prefer to not dangle out or some thing. Make her remember the way it use to be and how it rather hurts you. Dont be mean in simple terms state what your feeling and how it desires to end. If it retains going like this it is going to end badly. She feels like she has some self matters and desires help from a therapist or some thing. i'm getting like that usually and it sucks. I might desire to remind myself that it bugs human beings and in simple terms makes me unhappy. as quickly as I save complaining, it makes it worse. i'm hoping that helps. Dont permit her convey you down or be impolite. stable good fortune.

You have a choice when you get up in the morning...You are either going to enjoy the day regardless of other people, or you are going to let circumstances and situations determine how you feel. Keeping a positive outlook is a personal choice. If you cultivate it long enough, it will become a part of you.

ya.. im the same way for some reason lately. i just look at all the negative. Try surrounding yourself by friends who make you happy. Whenever you feal a "mean spurt" coming on, stay calm and dont flip out. Get more sleep, you'll feel much better, and if your eating a lot of junk food, lay off of it a while. Try some other healthier foods. Your body will feel much better, creating a better mental status.

Some people are negative, some people are realists... Which are you?

If you are grumpy alot lately, find what makes you grumpy and avoid it.

Also take your vitamins. I was depressed, took vitamins, and now feel better.

It would be a good thing for you to find positive people to hang out with. Their optimism will rub off on you eventually and you will not have a mindset of negativity so much. Plus listen to some really good music that lifts your spirit and makes you feel real good inside.

Make a conscious effort to look for the good things. Don't immediately see something bad in every situation. Once you make that change, the good will find you. Trust me, like attracts like. You'll have so many happy and positive things in your life you won't believe you ever asked this question!
