President Bush's low approval ratings, the sharp divisions over the war in Iraq, dissatisfaction with Congress, GOP raising the deficit to RECORD levels, Iraq war costing taxpayers BILLIONS, economic anxiety caused by high gasoline prices and stagnant wages have alienated independent voters.

Even the Republicans running are staying the heck away from President Cheney & Bush & DON'T want Cheney/Bush to show up at their fundraisers. Are they scared of the American voters this time around?

They are more scared of democrats than they are of al queda, Hezbollah, Iran, North Korea, or nukes.

But what scares them most of all will be the loss of the campaign donation's to their defunct party.

Actually, they don't mind them showing up for fund raisers as the corporations still give big money to them. They just don't want to be seen in public with them. Jim Talent in Missouri has taken millions from the Bush machine and has spent his entire time as a senator, stuck up Bush's ***. Now all of a sudden he is running around the state talking about how he has done all of these things for Missouri and portraying himself as an independent thinker.

The last time I heard gas prices are sky rocketing down, And not only are the republicans taking the U.S economy into a deficit so are the democrats that's why congress and the senate is made up of both!!! So it's also the democrats fault!!

I'm a republican, but I think it might not be so bad to lose this November. Bush has been spending money and driving up the defecit worse than any liberal has ever done. With a divided government we may get gridlock, which means nothing gets passed and no new money is spent.

Not really. We were supposed to be worried about the election in 04 also, but look what happened. Despite what the media says... the majority of this country are Republicans. Sounds to me like you are reading too many bumper stickers, watching too much CNN, and reading too many New York Times articles. The people will speak and Dems will cry... again!

The biggest thorn in my side is how the Republicans criticized Bill Clinton. Now, they are a bunch of screw ups too. They sure are hypocritical. Lousy Republicans.....

I predict record spending on campaigns, with diversionary platforms.

I see you read, many don't. Check the blog. We agree on many points of importance to America. Some prefer to remain spoon fed by Fox and Rush.

real republicans aren't worried

democrats are worried, they are worried the electorate might find out just in time just how crazy left wing extremist the democrat party has become. The ultra left wing radicals Soros and Hillary Clinton want to take over and change the constitution wiping our sacred rights out of there.

The choice is between ultra left wing radicals (democrats) and right wing republicans. Some choice...
