Remember that in the early 70's gas was $.29 per gallon! These cars also did not have overdrive transmissions. A 327 with an auto will get about 15 MPG and a big block (396 or 427) will get about 10. These cars were not designed for MPG. They were designed for horse power!

Answer: not much. All depends on your engine and set up I had a camaro with an Olds 350 big block in it and it never got to 10 miles to the gallon. 22 gallon tank and I couldn't even get 200 miles out of it.

69 corvette them days with 327 was 14 city the 396 owned one 11 p/g city chevelle the 396 was 13 gal owned that too and charger hemi 426 wedge still have it 9 in city and 12 highway. the hemi is not for sale sorry got offered 80.000 usd only 2,700 miles on it

I own a 71 camaro 350 with 3 speed auto 4 barrel carb.I get about 10-12 mpg but if i put my foot in it a fuel stop comes about rather quickly.mpg will vary depending on what engine and tranny are in the car.

Well, that depends on engines, and such, could range from like 10-18 miles per gal. Just guessing though.

Our 70 SS Chevelle only gets about 10mpg. Of course if we take her to the track its more like 6mpg. But oh what fun it is.

Just think of the money you save on not having to smog it! ;)

i would say about rangiong from 10 to 25 mpg.. it depends on the condition of the car and how much you drive it and how you drive it.
