My sister had hers removed and she is alive and doing well.
Any procedure can have complications, but not all are fatal.
Don't panic her with these worries, if she has any questions or concerns, have her meet with the surgeon, the anesthesiologist, and any others she feels she needs confirmation from.
I was able to do this before my Laperoscopy (not sure of spelling), and it eased my concerns greatly.
Otherwise, she will be fine, nothing fatal in this procedure. As I said, my sister, 27, had hers removed last year, and she is fine.

no it is not fatal. She should be fine . There is always risk with operations / anesthesia. After the operation she just has to make sure she is active so that she doesn't form blood clots which are very serious. My mother had hers removed 20 years ago no problems.

if the operation is 'fatal' why would they be doing it in the first place? Think about that for a minute.

Common sense here people.

There is always a risk when you go under anesthesia. Any operation can be fatal, so the benefits should always outweigh the risks.

No. If it was it would not be a common operation that many women undergo. It would probably be restricted to those on death row for a capital crime.
