I place them in a mug with warm water and a small amount of bleach and leave for about 30 mins. Make sure you rinse well before use and you get rid of the brown stains on the cutlery and the tea/coffee stains off the mug.

Any detergent works - just a little in hot water and a 5 - 10 minute soak and your cutlery will sparkle. No bleach needed.

Bleach? Why do people buy this noxious substance? My house is clean and nice, and fresh; with no bleach ever purchased!

Brown stains on cutlery - use a scouring pad.

Elbow grease is the best thing for nearly all stains.
