I personally don't have anything against interracial dating.
However, I have noticed that some black men actually think that they are hurting us or think that we are jealous of them dating white women.
Some men act cocky, as if we actually wish we could be with them.
Where did they get that perception? Certainly not from me.

Better yet, what is up with thier egos?

It's all love. You like who you like, I respect that.

as a girl who dates a black man i will try to answer for u. it is true that it is silly to think that black men with white women hurt black women in that way. for the most part most black women i am sure don't care. but let me share somethin with you. though u think that way not every other woman does. and it is not only black women. i dunno if u have ever been in an interracial relationship but you would have to be a white woman in that postion to understand. when i go out with my bf most times it's fine. most black women are fine with it. they think nothing of it. but i have had a fair share of black women who are very rude to me. some give us mean looks like we ain't supposed to be together. some whisper about me while they look at me, and some even go as far as to try n talk to my bf in front of me. i have nothing against anybody but that type of **** just makes me feel shitty. it's unfair that black men stereotype all black women based only on some black women who find it so wrong or don't like it and believe that i am stealing their man. not all black women are like that. it's true with white men...they are always asking me whats so great about a black man over them? the point is not what color someone is but why u like them. i love my man for him...not anything else. i don't brag about it or rub the fact i am with him in anyones face cuz thats wrong. but so is being stared at like u are not normal by some people. i hope i have helped u understand a lil. sorry that people have the ignorance to stereotype..but some people will never change.

All men have this perception that they are punishing someone by dating out of the norm for their race, etc. I'm engaged to a much younger man...actually he's young enough to be my son...and some men would strut about all cocky about how they're depriving women from their generation by doing it, or how they are all that because they can snag an older woman with more experience. It's an ego thing...I agree with you...race isn't an issue, and I don't think it is with black guys...I think it's ego...they think because they snag a white woman they are all that and a side of fries. Face it, honey, men think with their private parts...it's always been that way and always will be. We just have to overlook them and love them anyway.

I couldn't care less...I'm the product of an interacial couple, black white and native america, I'm gonna interracially date no matter what unless I find a guy who is the same percentage of ethnicity or me. Some black girls or black guys get mad when other blacks date outside thier race because they fell that all the "good" blacks are dating other races. and some people are just plain ignorant. Some people, like me could give a ****. It's their lives, and they need to do what makes them happy. Besides love is blind anyways.

People are buoyed and pumped up when they see others care. Naturally. But black women today really could careless, live and let live I say. Black men who think black women care, actually are dating the white women for the wrong reason. Attention. Once you care you are doomed. And people want nothing more than to see you act ignorant. Black women have given up looking for that "prime" black man, and are dating outside of their race or living a good life going to college and earning their own money, etc. We aren't jealous, we are past that. And black men out there who are dating white, or other other races of women: "I am not jealous of you and you should love who you want, just don't disrespect me in the process in thinking I care...

People like that are on an ego trip. They may not even really love the poor white girl. It's all a game to these kind of boys. I know, my brother is the same way, except he married a Micronesian girl who can't even speak much English, and he speaks NO Micronesian. He was all rubbing it in all the men in our family's face about "who he got" this, that and the third. All my cousins and uncles were like, Ok, man whatever. Well, now he and the girl are about to get a divorce, and who'd he come running back to? Black women. After all the crap he talked about us, here he is with a black girl on the down low since his wife went back home. Trifling.

It's great that you can have that viewpoint.
But many ( including me , can barely even pretend its not an issue).
As for the men, sometimes they see dating a white woman as a color issue , sorta like,
"I'm black but I'm acceptable to the man's wife" kinda thing.
and for others it's just preferences, but I often question how those preferences came to be. There was once a time when a Black man was hanged for such things, how things have changed....

I really don't know why some black men think black women care. I'm married to a black man and I've never gotten a dirty look or anything negative from a black woman.

Because it does bother some black women - for example you only have to go on iMDB and look up Taye Diggs and lots of people spew their hatred for him marrying a white woman.

The thing is people like to blow this minority out of all proportion and act as if its all black women that hate it (when most don't care).
