BTW, I just want to say that for all you haters that keep bashing this girl cuz of the bowling questions -- GET A LIFE!!!! Nobody is forcing you to answer these or even read them, so stop hating... If you dont like bowling, then get out...

Now, for my answer, yes I have known quite a few over the years... The center I bowl at is very close-knit and family-like... And for good or bad (there are a few that I dont like), you know just about everyone from one league or another... There are about 50 or so names on the 300 wall, and a lot of them dont bowl anymore, so I dont know them, but I probably know at least 10-15...

For starters, I was on this really competiive cut-throat type league, where I was seriously only 1 of 3 women, so they were all close to 200 avg. male bowlers, and I only have a 150, so yeah... Anyway, this one guy who I think has close to a 250 avg, and a local pro, must have bowled about 5 or 6 that summer alone, and I believe he has about 15 total....

I also can name about 5 or 6 others on top of my head from various other leagues over the years...

OH, Dont know this guy but theres someone up there who has bowled a 300 both lefty and righty -- a switch bowler!!!

Me personally, most I've had was 8 in a row, and only wound up with a 253, cuz I opened the 10th... High game though was a 267...

I think the word harder needs to be replaced with "more probable". A hole in one is more probable then a 300 for an armature, as soon a golfer develops the skill to hit a golf ball the distance of an average par 3 there is a possibility he can shoot a hole in one, just needs to be lucky. I have played with a guy that shot 121 for an 18 hole round and he had a hole in one in that round by sculling his shot up a hill and I watched it roll down from the hill onto the green and in the hole for a hole in one, only requires a little luck. I have bowled for 30 years and have never bowled with anyone that bowled a 300 that did not posses a high level of skill. Once a high level of skill on the lanes is achieved a 300 is more probable then a hole in one, as a 300 has more to do with skill then luck (still some luck, ask anyone who leaves a solid 9 or 8 pin after a string of strikes). My bowling average is 215 and I have bowled 3 300 games, hold a 4 handicap in golf and have never had a hole in one (just not lucky enough, been within 1" of the hole on several occasions but no hole in ones). That s my take.

no, but I know someone who bowled a whole game of gutter balls...I won't say who it was, but I've known her all of my life, and she sort of looks like me. At least that's what the mirror says...
