well, let's see....
gas now costs approximately $1 more per gallon then when Bush got into office due in large part to the war in Iraq which I was against from the beginning.....And if you truly believe Bush had nothing to do with the increased price of oil, I have a bridge I'd like to sell you.
An increase in the price of gas and oil has caused a concomitant increase in the price of almost all consumer goods. Goods have to be transported from the manufacturer to the retailer. When the price of gas goes up, so does the cost of that transportation. Guess who the increases get passed along to? The consumer.
Interest rates have climbed due to the economic instability created by the Bush administration, making me less willing to look for a new home due to the increased cost of mortgages.
The national deficit and debt have increased exponentially. This hasn't per se "affected" you or me yet but it will have to be paid at some point and guess who will be footing the bill? Oh, yes, I know, we have to spend in the name of preserving national security bla bla bla bla bla bla. If you truly believe Bush's cronies at Haliburton and elsewhere aren't making a killing in this whole deal, I have a second bridge to sell you.
Bush's war in Iraq has further weakend our ability to defend ourselves at home and elsewhere in the world. I suppose you will say that unless Al Qaeda marches into my home, I have not been affected but I think that's very short-sighted.
Not everything the goverment does has an immediate impact. However, everything it does has future, tangible consequences and ramifications.
It frustrates the crap out of me when people can't see more than two inches in front of their face. But it does explain to me why you have been an oil field worker bee for your entire life rather than a doctor, attorney or engineer.
But other than that, I haven't been affected at all. I don't see what everyone's getting SO upset about...

I agree with Shiraz. Your question assumes one of two things: (1) that everything the government does has an immediate and tangible impact upon your daily life; or (2) nothing the government does can have any impact on your life.
If you believe number (2), well, then you and I have vastly different theories about government and there's nothing really more to say.
If you believe (1) then the next logical conclusion is that if nothing in your life has changed, the government must not be doing anything wrong. If that's the case, I think you are missing the forest for the trees.

I got paid $300 for a tax refund when he was elected. The GWB he really knows how to build support.
Sway ii, less unemployment doesn't necessarily mean less available jobs. Look up the definition of unemployment and you will understand.

His policies, particularly in the middle east, have made that region less stable rather than more stable. Whiteness the current standoff in with Iran and the ongoing situation in Iraq. That volatility has caused the cost of crude oil on the futures market to go up which in turn has increased the price of the gas I buy. It also increases the cost of anything I might buy that has to be transported via any means of transportation that uses oil or gas, which is just about everything. It increases the cost of the airfare when I travel because the airlines costs have gone up, etc, etc, etc.

I've gotten a larger tax refund since Bush has been President, which has been nice. We added a stone porch in the back yard.

I've paid more taxes every year since he was appointed President. My health insurance costs have had a double digit increase every year. My wages aren't keeping up with inflation.
