I dont really think they "need" power hitters. I think they need consistent hitters. One game the bottom of the lineup will all go 3-4 and they will score 8 runs, the next 0-4 and they will score 1 run. It seems when the bottom of the lineup hits... they win. When they dont... they lose. Although, it is nice when a few players hit a dinger... easy runs. Go Twins!

It wouldn't hurt for them to get another big bat alongside Morneau, but Cuddyer is playing well and Hunter is really hitting the ball now. They just acquired Phil Nevin and he has been known to have some power, but its hard to find a consistent power hitter and now especially with the trade deadline past.

the Twins have never really had power hitters they have mostly been a pitching team so do they need power? no cause they have a lot a good hitter who are RBI machines and they play great small ball watch out for those piranhas.

So? The Tigers have free swingers, anyone can hit a HR, I think they are going to fade. Twins have a good defense.

The Twins need more starting pitching, they have always been built on pitching and defense.
