The splitting is caused by to much water. Cut back a little on the watering and let them get dryer before watering again.

Erratic watering, the skin has begun to "set" before the tomato has reached its optimum size due to lack of moisture in the soil, then when it has been watered the fruit swells, thus bursting the skin.

You over watered(especialy after a drought) Drought causes the skin to thicken so that when you water the skin can't stretch so boom they split.
