You need to know which type, I would need to know where you are and how cold it gets in the winter. Florida has a lot of "Prickly Pear Cacti" (Opuntia) and many of them are hardy into Massachusetts and even parts of Canada. You may have one of them.

yes, bring it inside, however it is a common misconception that cactuses need warm weather...they are growing on the rim on the grand canyon where winter temps reach 0 degree F...so technically, you can leave it out

sorry but it is illegal to remove wild life but keep in in full sun dont water and in side
