Not very effective. First, it's very difficult to pull out sometimes so the ocassional spill will happen. Second, the penis sometimes secretes a little clear fluid before and during intercourse and that fluid can contain sperm. If you don't want children get on a more effective birth control now. If you don't, you are likely to end up pregnant and have to make the decission as to whether to keep the baby or abort. Not fun.

It can be ok, but it's certainly not a safe method of contraception! The pre-*** that leaks from the penis can contain small amounts of sperm and if you are unlucky this can be all you need to get pregnant. My advice is use condoms or if you want a long term solution, try the implant like I have. It lasts THREE YEARS! No messing around remembering to take a pill, just have this put in your arm (they numb it first) and forget it!? Email me if you want to know more!

I can't give you percentages, but after working in healthcare over the last 6 1/2 years, 'pulling out' isn't always effective..... it varies from each person and depends on their "fertile" days, but remember that sperm also moves in the pre-seminal fluids, not only in ejaculation. The possibilities are there, however I'm not sure to what extenet right off the top of my head.

nicely in the previous a guy ejactulates he will produce 'pre-***' whcih contains hundreds of thousands of sperm. A healthful couple have a 25% risk at each and each cycle of concieving. a million in 4 pregnancies bring about miscarriage (alot of those ending in the previous a neglected era) whilst sperm enter the vagina and contained in the direction of the cervix they want the main appropriate precise enviroment to stay to tell the story, not too acidic maximum appropriate PH stability. whilst they arrive on the fallopian tubes they have the equvilent of 40 8 miles to trip to get to the egg. A women those with a common 28 day cycle will ovulate on everyday day 14, even though it rather is not actual, your Luteal section (time between ovulation and era) can selection, something decrease than 10 days is seen inadequate and a ailment. so in case you ovulate on day 20 of your 28 day cycle then the fertilized egg would possibly not have the potential to implant itself succesfully on your uterus. a number of those information make you comprehend in simple terms how magnificent concept is, yet in simple terms how confusing it fairly is. If he feels the might desire to tug out then he needless to say does not prefer to get you pregnant to establish a extra suited approach of start administration might desire to be practiced, infants are a blessing and terrific concieved on the main appropriate time for the two companions. stable good fortune

It all depends on a lot of factors. If you're over 40, you have a very low chance of conceiving each month, but the younger you are, the higher your chances. Also, if he smokes a lot of pot, he probably doesn't have a very high sperm count. Does he sit in a hot tub or hot bath? That also will kill sperm. But, if he eats a lot of oranges, they might be healthier. It's not really a risk you should take, if you don't want to become pregnant. Keep track of when you ovulate and don't do this near those days.

The pull out method is not one to rely on. Not to scare you , but it is like russian rulette. Have you tried the spermicidal vaginal suppositories. My husband and I used them for years and they work as well as the pill. They were recommended by my gyn, and they also lubricate and your spouse won't feel any difference. One of the unfortunate things about pulling out, it can also ruin the mood for both of you by making the moment end very abruptly. Good luck. And don't be afraid to ask your OB/GYN. I almost forgot, one of the newest items they have on the market is a Femring, it sounds crazy, but, it is this little ring you insert in the vagina and you don't have to change it for three months. I have used it and it works great, check with your doctor to see if this is something that would work for your needs. Good luck

When you go off the pill, you definitely need to use an alternate form of prevention and withdrawal isn't it. It only takes 1 spermatozoa to reach that egg and you are pregnant. Can you be sure that not a 1 of his sperm is left inside you? Of course not, so if you don't want to concieve, I suggest you use condoms.

Coitus Interruptus is not effective. Cowper's Fluid (pre-ejaculate) can released into the vagina. This fluid can contain sperm from previous ejaculations, as its main function is to neutralise the pH of the urethra, and clear any remaining urine or sperm from it to clear the way for the semen. Perfect coitus interruptus is only at 4% of all couples. See below for a detailed "study":

In one year's time about 30% of couples using this method consistantly will become pregnant. NOT a very good alternative.

There is a new alternative called Lea's Shield. Maybe you should look into that.
