Green was a sacred color to the Egyptians representing the hope and joy of spring. Green is a sacred color to Moslems. In modern times, anyone who chooses a green m & m (an American candy which contains an assortment of different colored chocolate sweets) is sending a somewhat similar message. Green has been reinterpreted by late 20th century American culture to signify a state of heightened sexuality in this specific situation. Green It is said that green is the most restful color for the human eye. Green has great healing power. It can soothe pain. People who work in green environments have fewer stomachaches. Suicides dropped 34% when London's Blackfriar Bridge was painted green. Green is associated with the direction of North. In Christianity, green means hope and growth in Christian Life. In Hindu belief, green represents the heart chakra.

Depends what symbolism you're talking about. They discuss the green of envy, and owing to its abundance on Terran, and the use of that abundance, it's also considered a sign of fertility. In the old manna religions, this was also true, but in chromatology, it signifies peace. Then again, in some societies, it denotes homosexual persuasion, in others life, in others growing. In America, it also stands for go.

It symbolizes growth and the world of vegitation. Such as you see a plant growing and usually when we think of plants, grass, leaves, and vegitation we usually think of green. So thus green symbolizes that and because plants typically in their life cycle as being green grow green then symbolizes growth.

Envy - the old saying is 'they were green with envy' - it comes from early folk tales (like 'Ashputtel' which then became Cinderella) where the stepsisters became so envious of her at the end that they became ill and slightly green looking. Thus, they were 'green with envy'.

Money!!! I like it, especially the green of a football field or golf course, although red and royal blue are my favorite colors. I like gold too, so I guess I'm just a sucker for color!!!
