approx 78,000 lbs. The overall legal maximum is 80,000 lbs.

With out an over load permit a gross of 80,000lbs. That includes the truck, fuel, trailer and load.

Most states have different weight restrictions. I know in Illinois it is 73,280 lbs gross vehicle weight. I imagine most states are about the same.
