Hey Sweetie, you have already taken the first step....you have admitted that you have a problem. Now, let's take the next step, go to your local health unit or maybe your local hospital's out-patient clinic. Keep it honest and keep it real with these health care professionals.

Another suggestion for you, get you one of those stress balls and when ever you feel like it is too much for you...squeeze the h*** out of it. Another suggestion is to get you a hobby like gardening, running/jogging, or even music.....keep your mind active and you can control your anger issues, by removing the causes.....

You may need to find a new group of friends, also.....my daughter had some really shady friends and I noted that her attitude was changing and she was becoming more cynical and hardened to the reality of society....almost militaristic and belligerent...once we sat her down and talked to her, she began to realize that she was not herself any more and she had become a clone....unfortunately, this was a difficult transition and she has some hanger-onners....no one said this is going to be easy...but, you can do it....look at your acquaintances and see for yourself, if this is something you might want to do....

It is your mind and the same mind that harms you can cure you.

There are things which can deal with all sorts of emotional problems.

See www.emofree.com look at the free download manual, and try to find $60 to buy the video. This really works. My son is 30 and in med school, and has social anxiety issue, and EFT works great. It is sort of like acupuncture with tapping instead of needles.

If you cant' come up with the $60, try to use the manual. He says the problem is, you can't figure out the speed of tapping or how hard to tap.

He says tap around 3 times a second, and tap hard, but try not to break anything or leave bruises on your body or face.

This is not a joke. Craig has cured vets who are in the vets hospital with PTSD for decades, in ONE DAY.

First of all: You CAN indeed stop. Please don't think you cannot; thinking like that may only paralyze you into inaction where nothing will change.

Do you do it only when someone will either witness you doing it or notice the result after? Do you do it because it's the only way to get through to someone who otherwise tunes you out? Is it a genuine suicide gesture? Do you do it impulsively, or do you plan the cutting episodes?

I'm sorry I'm unable to offer answers or solutions. Maybe some of the questions I posed will inspire introspection and help cast light on the way out of this sad cycle of self-mutilation.

Much luck.

The reason that you are cutting is because you have deep emotional pain, and by cutting a person get the feeling of "relief".You really do need to get help, talk to your Primary care physician or get to the emergency room and they will get you the help you need. You have done the first part, wanting help and knowing there is a problem, you don't have to live like this.If you seek help, you will be alright by understanding why you are doing it.

My daughter is a cutter and I put her in counseling and spent thousands of dollars trying to understand what the heck is going on. I came down to the conclusion, its a choice. and she wants to do it. Its her choice to do it and her choice to stop.
I think this is a new fad amongst teenagers and it really sucks to see a beautiful child you brought into this world partake in such a vile behavior. Its just disqusting and very hurtful to the people who love you.
Get a job, get a life. Have your own responsiblity, so you dont have time to sit around cutting yourself up. Its you being very immature and irresponsible. Life is short and your wasting yours doing ignorant things. You make people uncomfortable by cutting yourself up and yes,,,,, you get their attention, but do you really want that kind of attention. Its just showing how whacked you are in the head, but then maybe you think that is cool. We all have problems, I do not sit around being a big brat cutting myself up, I have too much responsiblity and I want people to respect me and not waller in self pity.
Get a life. Grow up and knock it off!

You feed the pain with pain. Erase the pain from your life, erase the need to cut, and you will be done with it.

Unless you are addicted to the self-inflicted pain, in which case you will need help to deal with it. You can find cutting-friendly psychologists in your area, just call around and ask. Remember- you never have to give them your name and number when asking if they help cutters.

You should seek help, but you need to go to someone who will help you addresss and deal with the reason why you're cutting in the first place, not just tell you to stop doing it. Unless you deal with the underlying cause, the urge to cut will keep coming back.

Therapy helped me stop cutting. It taught me how to deal with the situations that caused those feelings I wanted to "cut" away from myself. I still want to cut from time to time, but I don't actually do it, because now I have the tools and more self-esteem to prevent any more scars. I wish you well in your journey to overcome this.
