uhhh, see, the thing about this is... our country was founded through the use of terrorism (see: rules of combat @ the time with lines of fighting vs. the "terroristic tactics" of the colonials hiding and shooting behind trees). so don't everyone go being all jingoistic and then completely decimating the ideal of terrorism at the same time. basically, it's a completely effective tool at the disposal of the (whether deservedly so or not) repressed minority. and if you disagree, look at how the impact of maybe about 50 people changed th course of history (9/11 for example) and brought unprecedented attention to the issue they felt was completely neglected. Not to mention thank god for pearl harbor, because, though without a doubt it was a tragedy; had that event not unfolded, it's entirely likely Germany would be ruling the world at the present moment (despite Hitler even attacking both fronts, thank god he didn't keep the Japanese in check). So yeah basically it breaks down like this:
Pros: incredibly effective and available tool for the voice of the minority (whether their cause is generally perceived to be "justified" (such as the colonials) or not (such as the the islamic radicals))
Cons: usually civilian casualities. which can't really ever be justified (ends not justifying the means pretty much no matter the cause)
Just remember, a "war on Terror" is ABSOLUTELY the most ridiculous notion that has ever been given serious consideration. It's effectively akin to a "war on Ghosts" wherein it is completely and entirely impossible to physically prevent through force (read: you can not MAKE people stop doing terrorist actions! PERIOD.) however, these types of actions ARE completely avoidable and preventable through dialogue. even just addressing the issues these (any) minority faction holds goes a long way toward subsiding the urge take extreme actions. regardless of even the fact that we as a race SHOULD be addressing these issues. for them, for ourselves, for a better world. Just... well, don't be an idiot and remember noone WANTS to kill themselves and/or others. People will go a long way towards the *justification* of those actions, but its not like if you give someone a choice between preserving life or taking it away that, all circumstances, rationales, and ridiculous justifications aside, that anyone will choose to kill just for the sake of killing. mass murderers have psychological motivations, extremists religion or repression, and yes, militaries have nationalism. Ideally, we all want the same thing, a better world. And i don't understand how we can have so much conflict (even despite dissenting perceptions on that view) if we are all theoretically working towards the same ideal? Everyone just talk to each other. Seriously. To paraphrase; speak softly and CARRY your big stick. not beat a small child to death you kicked you in the leg; even if it really hurt. *sigh*

I like broccoli better...and I hate broccoli!
What we should NOT "like" is the hatred, bigotry and arrogance that breeds terrorism. Bigotry begets hatred. Hatred begets terrorism. Terrorism begets war. All because we are afraid of other people whom we don't understand, don't share political or religious ideologies with, and don't like because of the color of their skin or the lifestyles they lead. Fear begets bigotry and hatred. We need to stop being afraid of all the different cultures and start uniting ourselves as a species. Otherwise, we'll end up on the endangered species list ourselves! -RKO-

Israel has been defined by ability of many international extensive as a 'terrorist state'. between the justifications for it fairly is they're the only united states interior the international who overtly say they use torture on prisoners. Their checklist on human rights is appalling and that's genuine that, from that's totally inception, Israeli terrorists have been lionised by ability of the Zionist state. that's of course hypocritical to call the Palestinians terrorists and declare that Israelis are purely protecting their united states. that's not their united states. The Zionist state of Israel must be smashed if Jew and Arab have any risk whatsoever of residing at the same time in peace. One or 2 human beings on right here might desire to study up somewhat in background.
