Nazareth could rock like motherf*ckers. However, their "Love Hurts" song was THE break up anthem for many, many teens of that time.
If you compared what's considered to be "emo" songs today, "Love Hurts" would fall into that category.
What other rock bands, or any other band for that matter, can you names songs from that would be considered "emo" today.
Please name the song, not just the band.

This could go back forever! As long as there has been music there have been songs about heartbreak. However, I'll go with Elvis Presley's Are you Lonesome Tonight.

WOW! I can't believe there is someone who remembers that song! It was great. Hair of The Dog. I am not even sure what "emo" means? Maybe you could feel me in. I do remember some bands that were popular and listened to by the same groups that liked Nazareth, FogHat was one, and really good. We used to go see Nazareth & Foghat all the time! We, our group were kinda the underground rebels back then. You talk about rocking! Man could Nazareth ROCK! Good taste!
