For your information, I googled the following phrase:

"rank ski areas vertical feet"

And amazing...now, granted, it is actually the rankings of North American ski resorts, so you have to filter the Canadian ones out, but I'm sure you can figure that out!!

Whooo hooo!! Snow's on the way!

To add to that list of awesome resorts, add Snowbird.

Subtract Canyons.

I ski at Alta, the closest thing to heaven on Earth!

Area with most continuous vertical is Probably Jackson Hole. You can really ski some extremely long runs off of the Gondola.

If your looking at total vertical feet Squaw Valley in tahoe bosts the most vertical. It dosen't have the steepest however. For the top ten you are looking at Taos, Big Sky, The Canyons, Squaw, Heavinly, Jackson hole, Kirkwood, Steamboat, Alta and Big Mountain.
