I have just got a message saying there is a new version of msn avabiable. I do want this new version because I want to talk to people with yahoo messenger. But will I lose all my contacts from my previous version of msn. Will I need to write all of the addresses on a piece of paper and then copy them to my new version.

it automatically upgrades, without you having to redo all your contacts.

Wouldn't you have thought Microsft and Yahoo would've thought everything out? Your contacts are stored on a server at Microsoft so if you sign in with your account at another computer the same contacts will still come out. Download the new Messenger it is highly useful. Hope this has help with your reassurance.

no you wont ,, msn and yahoo, now have a special thing now where you can contact each of your contacts from the other messenger,, its kinda cool so if youre on msn(now windows live messenger,, you can talk to your yahoo contacts while still using your other messenger,,,and vice versa, for yahoo,,

i take advantage of msn and characteristic been doing so for particularly some years. final nighttime notwithstanding-out of curiousity- I downloaded yahoo messenger, i like it! plenty extra a snort than msn- for now besides, i'm going to in all possibility substitute into bored of it too =P

I just upgraded mine and all my contacts are still on the computer the only thing I had to do was change my home page back to yahoo

Nothing is lost including display pictures and contacts, if u have your email address saved too it will remember that

i think it should load as an upgrade and wont affect your address list. to be safe either do a printout of the addresses or hand write them.

Nope, just got the new version myself. You just click on it to install and its all done automaticaly(?) No need to worry about anything!!

you dont lose your contacts/addresses when you upgrade to new version.
