I was recently at a fun park and every place there was water pool, there was money at the bottom. I know people think it's lucky or something but come on, who actually believes this and why do enough people believe it to line to bottom of every pool and fountain with money?

It's really just tradition.

You answered your own question. Since you see a lot of money thrown into the bottom of various bodies of water than that must mean that a lot of people believe that they will find luck because of it. ??

People do it for "fun"! It's tradition to "make a wish" on your coin!

Other than that, no real reason. Do I believe my wishes will come true? No, not really!

My parents did this with me since I was little and it's something fun for me to pass on! Nice "memories" for me!

I know its so crazy, that our society is so superstitious. I can admit that I used to do this as a little girl, but I have grown up and I know that its just something made up. I think people do it because its something unique and interesting and everyone wants a little luck!!

Superstition is everywhere and believing that throwing money away enhances your luck is just a small part of that.
