I think it is till some point, depending on the person though, right? I mean I loved when I was in elementary, kids have no cares in the world, nothing to really tie them down. But I think, and i know for some people, the best time of their lives were their wedding days or the day that they met their husband, and then being able to spend the rest of their lives with them. Personally I took a solo trip to Europe, and that was the happiest time of my life, probably for the same reason I loved my childhood years, there was nothing holding me back, I had no other commitments at the time, and I was the most spontaneous I've ever been. Childhood is awesome, but there are still many things that you can do now that you are an adult, and there are always things to look forward to...

Do you know the term 'ignorance is bliss'? In my thinking, this is how I see childhood.. it is a 'happy' time because children are ignorant of life.. of all the realities that will affect them in the future. I would not call it the happiest time.. just the most care free.

5 years old is a good age. before school.
But being a freshman in college is very cool too.
I am going to say that the college years could be the years.
Of course a wise person would allow the happiest time in ones life to be right now....
Because yesterday is gone and it is too early to live for tomorrow.
Be happiest now.

no, I think having a child is by far the happiest time. I am pregnant now with a little girl and I have a 3 year old son. Everytime I see my son having a really happy moment it gives me my happiest time.

Not anymore, during these times kids get no parental attention and they learn everything from tv and pc's. So they grow up really messed up, and there's a lot more abuse now than ever before. Mostly because of so many parents using drugs still.

I think it should be. As long as your parents did their job and made your childhood as carefree as it should be. In reality, it doesn't always work out that way, and people have to grow up and get out on their own to discover happiness.

Although it should be, unfortunately not all children get to experience it. You can make the rest of your life as happy as you can by helping out others, doing things that make you happy, and being with your friends and family.

It's suppose to be. Why ? the only thing you think about is where you are going to have fun today, will it be with you're friends, your family or will you be going somewhere special.
