Use limewire with caution. If you have virus checkers and a spyware checker, then download it. My advice would be to only download something that you can tell exactly what it is. For example if its an mp3 file then it's not a virus. Don't download programs, some people put their "programs" on there, when they are actually viruses. Anything with the extension .exe i wouldn't download.

I think it's touch and go with limewire.
I personally got loads of virus's and it slowed my computer down quite bad.
And also, you can't guarentee the songs will be good quality, many of them are crap recordings.

limewire's good for a bit but once you've got what you want initially it can get a bit dry,for anti virus use 'avast' its free and works.also if you download limewire basic then the first thing you look for is limewire pro and download that, simple free pro.if you let people upload from your PC you can scan them to see if they got anything good.
don't forget to defragment regularly if your watching and wiping alot.
have fun.

It is a good peer 2 peer file sharing program just be careful what u download. It may not be what it says on the tin. U will get some viruses. these are unavoidable at times. use to download music nothing else, I've tried to download a few movies but the films i've got are not what i'm looking for.

Use with caution!

I used limewire and I got a few viruses. it is good because of the benifits but you should decide for yourself if it's worth the cost of getting a virus

I found limewire really great with regards to download speed, variety etc but my computer became riddled with viruses and I had to completely wipe my system and start again. :S That was a couple of years ago though, it may have changed a little.

yes i'd reccomend limewire for downloading music, films, tv programmes etc. i would suggest however that you download the free one, even though there are less downloads and features compared to the subscription based one, its better than nothing.

go to limewire.com and follow the instructions from there on. eventually you will see two versions: one paid and the other being free. select the free version and what do you know? in no time, you'll be downloading your favourite music tracks, tv shows, movies etc

not as good as it sounds, its okay. it is easy to use, but it is NOT always virus free. i downloaded limewire, and by the next day my computer was so overtaken by viruses, despite my virus protection, that i had to have my computer entirely wiped and everything reinstalled
