I would like to buy one, but I have no idea what to look for. I would like to use it for pictures, watching movies, the internet, music, burning cds/dvds, homework, and computer games (like sims 2). What should I look for? What prices are good? Can you give me a link to the one I should get?
I don't want to spend too much on one, but for now lets just pretend price is not an issue so that I can find out what is best to figure out how much I want to spend.
Any help is appreciated.

I think if you get an HP laptop that would be the best thing for you. You should get one with at least 1GB of ram so that you can you can run quite a lot of things at one time and also so that you can run the new Windows (WIndows Vista) on it. You also should get a laptop with a good graphics card, since you like games and also you should get one with a fast dvd/cd burner. I advise you not to get a Sony one because altough the have some good features, they are quite expensive .

Pick up an IBM. Coz thats the best in handling as their hinges are the ever best made. Sony is a brand and ofcourse its xpensive and quite good.
