Go to Microsoft Word and type in something, then click on Tools, roll over Language, then click on Translate, then change the language which they say they will translate it into, change it to Italian, then click on the Green Button with a white arrow.

You should take lessons at the local community college or, if you have a friend who speakis italian, you should ask him/her to offer lessons. Also, there are computer programs out there that are great for those who want to learn a new language.
