okay so I'm @ my work ...my coworker.. tells gives me tips to being a better seller which i dont mind ...(the manager told him to help me) as he is talking to me...he mentions that "oh this girl said "im excited jeff and charles(which is him) is working today because there good sellers"....I want u to be a better seller.......
okay he doesnt want me to be better than him what the hell!....am I blowing it out of proportion? or does it depend ..or should he have never mentioned that?

Relax... yes, your instincts are correct... you have it a bit out of proportion. Just take all the advice and do your very best... who could ask for more? As for some selling tips, I've had quite a bit of training in this area. What I learned most was to constantly be prospecting and to keep my numbers high, realizing that only a small portion will result in actual sales. It's a tough business in sales, but that's why you're compensated well for the sales you make. Most sales people do not spend their actual time selling... they're doing paperwork or off-task projects... you know you're doing the right thing by talking with prospects. Keep phone conversations brief, as the more calls you make, the more sales you make. Good luck!

You completely misunderstood him. He was trying to tell you that he wants you to be a better seller than him. He wants you to be the better seller than everyone there. Perhaps he sees potential for you to become a great seller and grow within the company. I think it was more of a motivation statement than an insult.

He was just talking and the way it sounded he is trying to help you become a better seller, so where is your problem.
