if you run more than one anti virus software a time, your platform may lose it's stability and you will have problems. The question is already in other terms. So, it's very hard to find two compatible anti virus software to run in the same time on the same platform. An option can be using Windows, on one hand with it's specific anti virus, i.e eTrust, and on the other MacOSX with an other anti virus program, on the same computer, or simply use Linux, it's the the best in defense. The final answer is NO. The system is less effestive if you run every day more than one anti virus, i still suggest: find a good one, pay the updates and use it like the only one.

It's not a good idea. They can interfere with each other. I think you should choose the best one to use. The other way you shouldn't scan your computer everyday. You should scan it 3 times a week. If you use your computer with internet you should often click on Liveupdate or Update now.... is better.

Most will not let you load them to install until you have removed their competitor's program. No it will not be more effective even if possible. If you got one from a vendor who is quick to update their virus-threat files when a new threat comes out you have it covered anyway.

No. Use a security suite such as Zone Alarm. Aditional anti-spyware program is okay. Microsoft Defender is free and works really good. Ad Aware is free and also a great program.

If you run more than one antivirus program you will really mess your computer up. Just run 1 and only 1.

No, sometimes they interfere with each other. You should have one good one that you keep up with the updates on. Make sure it has a good firewall as well.

It is never a good idea to run more than one. They will conflict and leave you with less protection, not more.
