This isn't a difficult component to replace but it does require dismantling a fair bit of the machine so the labour charge will be fairly significant for a very, very cheap component.
Try using usb speakers instead -

Yes, it can be replaced. Not a job I envy you doing. You really need to take the thing apart and then get one that matches. On mine it looks like a circuit board mounted socket lined up to a hole in the case. The place to get one is Maplin and you'll need solder and a soldering iron. I bought a new iron, I think it was from Maplin that runs on lighter gas. It's very good and works as a little blow lamp too. There is another socket that is a video out socket - I forget what that's called. You can basically add a monitor. I'm not sure if that has sound. But the best thing is to replace the headphone socket.

part u mention is hardly one $
check-out if u get a handy mechanic & ask 4 estimates
if reasonable .. go ahead
if u can dismantle self & do soldering, check with manual 4 dismantling operations / instructions.
u'll need a 10 - 15 watt solder iron
25 watt if u'r an expert
else usb audio !
