is it normal for a turtle to make noises when it eats or drinks water? its a grinding noise. my other two dont make that noise. she looks very healthy and eats and drinks well other than that noise. i have been soaking her in h2o with a few drops of bird vitamins every couple of days. ive also kept her seperate from the other turtles in case she is sick.

I think even some animals have weird habits, maybe it's just what the turtle does. I think it should be okay, if it's not acting sick. Keep it seperate for a couple of day, then see how it goes, if she seems ok, put her back in and let her be, she will be alright.

1st thought- jaw or beak injury, misalignment, or overgrowth

2nd thought- early sign of respiratory disease

3rd thought- isolate (like you did) and monitor. If it gets better, great. If it gets worse, seek help.
