I call this the "All Falls Down" effect. I hated that song by Kanye when it was being played all the time when it was released. But I bought the disc anyway just to hear the rest of the songs. It was great - and Late Registration is even better. I'm a huge Kanye fan now.

When the Beatles first showed up in America in 1964, I thought the songs they had out at the time were pretty dumb and the way girls (especially) screamed and basically went nuts over them was silly. However, after a couple years, I began to realize just how good they were and now, after all these years I think they were among the greatest rock and roll bands ever.

This happens to me all the time. I like a song when it first comes out, they play it too much so it annoys me then a year later I hear it on the radio and like it again.

For the longest time I kept saying i didn't like Kelly Clarkson, just because she was from American Idol (is that that show? anyway)
I didn't realise that all the songs on the radio that I liked were sung by her! so now i like her.

yeah i used to think the strokes were stupid and then i saw them live. they're incredible.

also i used to really dislike counting crows (i thought they were really boring) until i was stuck on an 8-hour flight with nothing to listen to but counting crows (as part of the in-flight entertainment). They are absolutely my favorite band of all time.

When I lived in Montreal, I did not like Celine Dion. I don't have any albums, but I like a few of her songs now.
