A lot I think is for the wrong, at least as far as the media is concerned. And religions. And politics. Fear of not being liked, not being attractive enough, and of bringing down God's wrath on oneself are all exploited by those in power the world over. People kill because of their fears; we see this in the news daily. "Absolute power corrupts absolutely" and those with lots of money and influence have the power to put others under their spell. Very sad.

Well it's obvious in marketing, politics, religion. It can be used for good or ill intent, but of course we should never use our gifts for negative influence or results. The current Administration in the US has "great" speech writers that use the power of suggestion all the time...but it's not just words, body language is the true key....

Yes, power of suggestion works and as for it's use both, depends on what side you're on.
There is a food place in our town that claims to have the best ------- and I said to my husband according to who? He said according to them, they don't have to have anyone say that, they just have to, so I had to go there and try it, it's not the best in town! But still now everyone in town says they are the best, funny! Power of Suggestion!

yes i believe in it, as an example this is the same type of way teachers hint on what will be on exams...if they present a specific topic enough times, then one could imagine that it it is very important and will be on a test. i try to use it for right by suggesting to my parents what type of gift i'd like for christmas...or something along those lines
hope this helps :)
and if you can please sign my guestmap, thanx :)

I try not to use the power of suggestion, although I do believe in it. Why else do we have stereotypes? How could Nazi Germany have occured?

I don't use this power. It's not nice to sway feeble minded people.
Next thing you know, you can't get rid of `em.
