No, it was just her and her lamb.
Her parents gave her an ultimatum, either get rid of the lamb or get her own place. she chose the latter.
( that's a little part of the nursery rhyme that was left out because the author didn't want to upset the children )
But it's all good. Mary and her little lamb lived happily ever after!
