The Lord says directly in the Bhagavad-gita: "My dear Arjuna, only by undivided devotional service can I be understood as I am, standing before you, and can thus be seen directly. Only in this way can you enter into the mysteries of My understanding." Bg 11.54
The only way to see God is to please Him by your pure devotional service. This means giving up selfish desires for sense enjoyment of the body, mind and intelligence and desire only to live to please the Lord. This is actually our eternal, constitutional position. And in that situation, we experience eternal blissful life of perfect knowledge.

NO ONE can ever even come close to imagining God or depicted how he looks, 'cause HUMANS ALWAYS MESS UP THE TRUTH. They'll probably make God look all omnipotent and omniscient, just because they think he's all that. What if he really looks like an elderly man, not some glowing fiery superbeing with sunrays shooting out of him??? What I'm saying is, no human deserves to see God...except Moses and all those other prophets. You'll see God when you die...or a big red man with horns. Either way, even IF YOU DO see God, you'll probably die; just by spending time with God for a little while on the mountain, Moses went from handsome young hulk to elderly bearded old man, and his eyes were even blinded for a moment!!! What do you think it'll do to you!?!? Everyone and everything within five miles' radius will probably be incinerated by God's presence he's so powerful!!! Just wait until you die; I'm sure there's no rush to do that, right???

Why only see? Sight is only one sense out of given five. There is four more senses God gifted us.Following? Now, the secret of being in touch with God is known by sages as long as humanity exist. When your separate senses become one indivisible sense it opening door to the realm where God start to communicate with you.

You cannot see God with your eyes. It is your heart which can tell you about God. If you really want to see God than stop finding him outside and start the journey within your heart because He resides there only but because of ignorance we find him outside like a musk deer who wanders in the forest in search of the fragrance which is coming out of himself.

You sit down in a quiet place and reflect on things spiritual. It may be for ten minutes, an hour. Whatever. Think, reflect and entertain a dialogue with Whoever you conceive to be God.
