I can tell you a few. We got hamburger 3lbs. for a dollar. Ten cans of nationally recognized vegtables for a dollar. A T-Bone steak was around 85 cents a pound. Now it is about $8.50 a pound. Sirloin was around 70 cents a pound. You could get 100 sack of potatoes for between $3.50 to $5.00 a sack. If you go to your public library and look up the old news papers for that year that they keep on micro-film you will find out the prices. We also had one store where we got day old bread for like pennies or a nickle. You also got 4 gallons of gas for a dollar. We ate good for around $16.00 a week, sometimes as much as $20.00.
