Humans evolved as hunter gatherers, which means, they ate meat when it was avilable, say every couple of weeks after a big hunt, and in between that time it was mostly fruits and vetables.
Basically because I keep kosher and I can't get to a butcher all that often, I have pretty much been sticking with this diet, though not on purpose, but it seems to be working out for me so far. Does anyone think this is a bad idea?

You might get a book about living off the land and try that. You'll probably be very hungry alot of the time until you've mastered the skill. Certain common weeds have eatable stems and fruits, also there are some species of eatable mushrooms, roots, tubers, berries, nuts, fruits, and the like. You could also fish and set up traps. You could take a rifle or bow and arrow and take out rabbits and deer.

Interesting, if you add exercise that the humans used for transportation, hunting and gathering, later farming; it would probably keep you in fairly good shape. Write a book. Even if it doesn't work, you could make some money!

Just because its kosher does not mean it is healthy. Kosher according to scripture (lev. 11) is just anything thats not unclean.
A healthy diet incorporates: extra-lean protein in moderation, high fiber, more multi-grains, lots of vegtables and fruit, and non-fat dairy.
