There is a Tin mine in Polgarth Cornwall and a Coal mine in Bleanavon in South wales. They both do tours and are excellent days out to visit

Stoke on Trent has the Gladstone pottery museum,a working Victorian "Pot-bank" and the Chatterley Whitfield replica coal mine.Alton Towers theme park is nearby,too.

Wales has a good one. Big Pit at Blaenavon, South Wales. You get to go down in the cage and have a tour underground. Brilliant!
